We offer a particularly warm welcome in May 2018 to Geoffrey Bridge, a distinguished and highly regarded oboe player and teacher. Geoffrey studied oboe at the Royal College of music with renowned musicians including Peter Graeme and Leon Goossens. He has worked as a free lance professional player with many orchestras including BBC Welsh Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra and Southern Pro Musica Orchestra. Geoffrey has also taken part in many musical festivals through out the UK. He is principal oboe with Aberdeen Sinfonietta, The City of Perth Sinfonia, Heisenberg Ensemble and for the Britten Chamber Opera Series for Byre Theatre St Andrews. As well as a professional musician Geoffrey is a respected teacher, and coach, having taught the oboe at Winchester College. He continues as Director of the Winchester Summer Music Course. His interest in double reed instrumentation is clearly evident in his writing and in his support of the British Double Reed Society as Chairman. He is a frequent author of articles relating to double reed matters.
We are so pleased that Geoffrey has agreed to join us at Aden.
